Dick mediates and arbitrates a wide variety of commercial disputes involving commercial contracts, insurance coverage issues, environmental issues, and HIPPA cases. Dick draws upon his wide range of commercial litigation experience, including but not limited to, defense of bid rigging and Hobbs Act cases, cases involving the cattle industry as well as fraud litigation in various commercial settings, nuisance cases, defamation cases, and personal injuries associated with construction projects.

Among Dick’s notable successes achieved as an attorney in commercial matters:

• Obtained an $8 million verdict for a client in an eviction and defamation case that stemmed from a business dispute.
• Obtained a $4.2 million settlement for clients who were victims in a landmark $166 million cattle fraud case.
• In second major cattle fraud case, obtained a total award of more than $1 million for a client in a jury trial.
• Successfully represented defendants in a 27-count indictment on a bid rigging & Hobbs Act case involving the waste hauling industry
• Was successful in having a $2.2 million nuisance award overturned against a landfill operation
• Successfully represented insured in obtaining cost of the defense from four carriers in environmental claim
• Successfully represented insured in obtaining defense costs in several cases involving the pollution exclusion
